A Quarter Century of Curiosity: Martin Pietsch’s 25 Years at BAADER

On September 1, 2001, Martin Pietsch began his apprenticeship as a mechatronics technician at BAADER in Lübeck. What started in the company’s electrical operations department grew into an impressive and multifaceted career – one shaped by technical curiosity, a strong work ethic, and the courage to keep taking on new challenges. 

From early on, Martin immersed himself in the machines with complex control systems. As a fitter and later a service technician, he built deep expertise across our machines and production lines, becoming a specialist in several of the company’s flagship models like the BAADER 581 or BAADER 988. 

Meeting customers around the world

Early highlights of his career included international customer projects, industry trade fairs, and on-site support. Over the years, Martin worked closely with customers around the world, channeling his hands-on experience into technical documentation, machine manuals, and training courses. 

In 2015, he moved to the R&D department in Lübeck, where he supported the assembly, testing, and commissioning of prototypes and production lines, assisted with field trials at customers sites, and helped identify faulty and uncover opportunities for improvement. 

Becoming the coordinator of the BAADER Technology Center

Two years later, his path led him to the Showroom and Training division. Since 2018, Martin has coordinated the BAADER Technology Center (BTC) – and there, he is far more than an organizational anchor. Whether it is customer events, machine demonstrations, factory tours, R&D trials, training sessions, or supporting workshops and marketing productions, Martin ensures with great care that people, machines, and processes come together seamlessly. Even during the pandemic, he kept BAADER’s technology accessible and tangible through remote presentations showcasing the company’s latest innovations.
