Running for a good cause: At the beginning of June, the BAADER running group took to the starting line to generate donations with every kilometer run over the course of the month. Whether alone or in small groups, the 66 runners totaled 4,112.92 kilometers, which translated into a donation of 10,000 euros.
Today, Robert Focke, Managing Director BAADER handed over the check to the Chairman of the Board Prof. Dr. med. Frank Gieseler, Managing Director Vanessa Boy, and Veronika Dörre, contact person at the Lübeck office of the Schleswig-Holstein Cancer Society in front of the BAADER Technology Center in Lübeck.
"I am proud of the commitment of our employees. Every kilometer run helps to further expand the services offered by the Schleswig-Holstein Cancer Society for cancer patients and their families in coping with the disease. At the same time, it has kept our colleagues fit," says Robert Focke, Managing Director BAADER.
BAADER already actively participated in the charity run last year. The money is used to finance support services for people suffering from cancer that are not covered by the health insurance fund. These include, for example, counseling services, self-help groups, or the financing of an apartment in the university district, which is made available to patients and their relatives who have traveled there.
