North Coast: Salmon Line Delivered Results That Exceeded Expectations

North Coast is a third generation, family-owned American company. Building the business through deep relationships, solid trust, absolute dependability and unwavering integrity brought them to BAADER. In 2000 the North Coast Seafoods moved to the Boston Seaport District – where it is still situated. Today the company is also anchored in Boston, New Bedford and Cape Cod.

Relationship Defined by Reliability, Strong Performance and Consistent Results

For North Coast, the relationship with BAADER has been built over many years — one defined by reliability, strong performance, and consistent results. When the company decided to invest in a new salmon processing line, the choice to work with BAADER again came naturally.

One advantage worth mentioning was the hygienic design of the equipment. Compared with other solutions available on the market, BAADER’s approach stood out immediately. The team at North Coast quickly recognized the difference not only in the design itself but also in the quality of the finished product. In particular, the fillets produced by the BAADER 581 Pro delivered results that exceeded expectations.

We noticed the differences in hygienic design compared to other players in the market and the quality of the product coming out of the BAADER 581 Pro was unmatched.”
— Ron Carrol | Operations Manager

Installing the new salmon line was a major project that took only three weeks to complete. Throughout the entire process, BAADER’s team remained on site, guiding the transition and ensuring everything ran smoothly. Their knowledge and hands-on support made a clear impact. Every question was addressed, and the installation was carried out without interrupting ongoing production — an important factor for a facility that operates continuously.

Throughput has increased significantly, while downtime has remained extremely low. The quality of the fillets has also improved considerably, with minimal trimming required after processing. Besides all this one of the most significant upgrades has been the pin bone removal system, which has taken a noticeable step forward in overall product quality.

Throughput has been better. The quality of the fillets has been much, muchbetter. Extremely low downtime, which has been very impressive. It runs!

Fourteen months after installation, the experience has remained overwhelmingly positive. For the team at North Coast, the collaboration with BAADER continues to stand out — not only for the technology itself, but for the dependable service and support that come with it. In their words, the experience so far has simply been “amazing."
