The Fish Dictionary is divided into two parts:
1. Fish related data:
Here you can find information about the length-weight ratios
The data are based on catch evaluations for different areas and during different seasons. Consequently, the weight graphs represent average values. These values may of course vary according to fishing ground and season
2. List of Fish Names:
We have summarized the most common types of edible fish in six groups covering the majority of fish which occurs in rivers, lakes and in the sea. The names are listed alphabetically in accordance with their Latin designation and the names are also given in the ten languages which are of particular importance to the fishing industry.
