BAADER 52 Skinning

TRIO FDS-3000 Skinning
Trio FDS skinning machines have generally been recognised as the best skinning machines for soft fillets and previous frozen fillets. Many thousand machines are in use skinning hake, merluza, hoki, pollack and previously frozen fish fillets.
On the new FDS 3000 skinning machine, the fillets are fed with skin side down, on top of the drum. The skin, even on fillets with uneven thickness, are flattened against the cold drum by gravity and mechanical pressure.
Trio FDS skinning machines in terms of less skin spots and higher yield.

TRIO FDS-35 Skinning
The FDS 35 is the new industrial scale freeze drum skinning machine from Trio.
The machine can be supplied in two versions:
FDS 35 Basic - the same principles as FDS3N
FDS 35 Industrial - stable knife system for increased yield
The new Trio FDS 35 Industrial skinning machine will increase yield by 2-5% compared to older Trio skinning machines.
The new design is more hygenic and makes the FDS 35 skinning machine easier and safer to operate and service.
FDS skinning is particularly advantageous when:
- Deep skinning
- Skinning of fillets with no natural division skin and meat
- Skinning of soft fillets or fillets with weak skin
- Skinning of flatfish for maximum yield and no tail splitting

TRIO FDS-55 Skinning
The new FDS 55 is an improved skinning machine built for high capacity skinning.
The FDS 55 is the land based version of a high capacity skinning machine, built for direct connection to modern filleting machines such as BAADER 182, 192 or 212 or high speed pelagic filleting machines.
Compared to older versions of the FDS 5N, this machine has clear advantages:
- New knife system increases yield by 2-5%
- New design for better hygiene and easier service
- New and improved bearing system on drum
- Choice between skin on and skin off transportation of fillets
- Choice between electric or hydraulic motors

TRIO FDS-2000 / TRIO FDS-2000-2 Skinning and Slicing
The FDS 2000 Skinning Machines are developed for the skinning large fish fillets. The fillets are fed onto the drum from the top where the surface of the skin freezes to the cold drum. A rotating band knife cuts the fillets away from the skin and the skin is then scraped off the drum. The depth of the cut can easily be adjusted.
The main advantages of the machine are:
- All of the skin surface is flat against the drum
- The drum is wide enough for two large fillets to be skinned side by side
- Automatic feeding
- Shallow and deep skin

The FDS 2000-2 Skinning Machine has two
knife sections and can therefore do a second cut simultaneously with the skin cut;
- Horizontal slicing of the fillet
- Recovery of the “fat layer”
- Regular skinning and deep skinning.
Producing fillets or slices with a defined thickness is an advantage when portioning. The
portions look larger and are easier to handle with regards to freezing, thawing and
preparing.
The second knife can recover the “fat layer” when deep skinning. This meat may
constitute up to 5% of the fillet weight. Normally the meat left on the skin will go to
waste.
